Special Interests and Hobbies

Brother Bob is into restoration of classic cars and trucks. This is his pride and joy. A 1972 Chevrolet Super Cheyenne, Short Bed, 400 Big Block, Automatic, Power Steering, Power Brakes, AC, Tilt and cruise. The inside is Black with Bucket Seats and a console, the instrument panel is Rose-wood with a special Custom steering wheel, all new carpet and the truck is a complete off frame restoration.

Bob's Ochre and White truck just keeps getting better and better and improvements are being made every day.

It is a 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne, Long Bed, 350 V-8 with Automatic Transmission. The inside is

White & Black Hounds Tooth with AM AF Radio. This truck is complete off frame restoration.

The Black 97 S-10 is Bob's latest creation.  It is specially set up to Drag Race and Bob has been very lucky with the truck,

it runs in the high 60's and low 70's and is a very well constructed truck.

The Red/White 72 is one that Bob has just finished an off frame restoration and is a Real Touch of Class

Museum Truck

The Blue/White 72 is Bob's favorite and he has won many trophies with it.  It has been featured in several articles in

magazines and it receives a lot of attention where ever it goes.

Also Bob has restored a 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Station Wagon a real muscle car. 350 Small Block bored and stroked with 10 to 1 Pistons, solid lifters and a cam that meets the need for all that power.

The Nomad is also complete off frame restoration, Candy Apple Red and White with Red and white upholstry, when you enter the show garage and hear the Big Bopper and Peggy Sue and a little bit of Blueberry Hill you start believing the sign in Bob's garage...A Blast of the Past.

Bob is still riding his 2003 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Anniversary Model, even though he just wrecked on the bike, it is back like new and Bob is also like new and riding again. You just can not keep ole John Robert down.

Beside the display of Medals is a Portrait of Bob in his Deputy Sheriffs Uniform and all the Certificates that he received while attending the New River Valley Police Academy. Bob is now retired from the Wythe County Sheriff's Department.

Ya'll wonder, is there life after Grand Master? Well here is what you do, just complete your term, buy a lot of toys and start playing with them. Yep, there is life after the Grand Master and you keep younger at heart, but older in a lot of things. But one thing for sure, it's a lot of fun.

Here is wishing each of you a very Happy New Year and thanks for walking beside me and for being my friend.
