Child Identification Program The Kempsville chapter members assisted Masonic districts 35 A&B Masons in providing a much needed child protection service through the Child Identification Program of The Grand Lodge of Virginia. They provide over 84 man hours collecting 291 Child Identifications at 8 different events proving that the tenets of DeMolay can be extended beyond its members. Christmas Cheer for the Elderly The Kempsville Chapter members provided 44 hours of support, arranging for a multi-organization Caroling and Visitation event during December to bring the cheer of the season to elderly shut-ins through caroling and person to person visitations in the rooms of the residents of the retirement home. MacArthur Wreath Laying After many hours of practice, chapter members provided the honor guard and Arch of Steel (Sword Team) for the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the MacArthur Memorial by the Grand Master of Masons in Virginia and the Hampton Roads Community. Philanthropic Event Support Kempsville DeMolay members came out in force for two HIKE Events, one sponsored by our sister organization, the Jobs Daughters and other by the Royal Arch Masons of Virginia. From providing setup and serving the participating as well as collecting pledges and participating in the event. |
