It is my distinct pleasure to announce the 2011 - 2012 Virginia DeMolay membership incentive! If you are the first line signer of 3 petitions between Conclave 2011 and Conclave 2012, you will get your
choice of a FREE State Quarterly!
This means if you get 3 new members into DeMolay, you can go to
Conclave or Brotherhood for $0 cost for you!
To be eligible your chapter must submit the new members
Form 10 to the State Association and to DeMolay International. Let's all work to share the lessons of our
great organization!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Robert Marsters, State Master Councilor

So far we have sold over $400 worth of ties! Keep up the efforts! Also, there have been some more updates on the website. This includes more pictures, a new tab for chapter news, and a new member counter towards our goal of 90 DeMolay for 90 years of DeMolay in Virginia! Hello! This is your State Master Councilor and I hope everyone is doing well. We have been battling
many obstacles recently in Virginia. We have conquered one of the largest earthquakes in the history
of the east coast. We have battled through hurricane Irene. Having survived through these adversities,
it may be appropriate to mention our survival goal for DeMolay in the commonwealth of Virginia.
This year we need 90 new members to meet our survival goal. This week on Virginia DeMolay's newly
created website we will be launching our 90 for 90 Program. The 90 for 90 program is about getting 90
new members for our 90th anniversary of DeMolay in Virginia. The website will have a counter for new
members and will go up as people submit their form 10s. We are approaching the start of school and the end of summer. I hope everyone is using their last few days of freedom before school starts for rest and relaxation. Go out and have fun! Bring your brothers and friends and enjoy the last days of summer. Enjoy the brotherhood around you and try to extend it to your friends who have not joined yet. If anyone needs anything, I am just one call away!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Robert Marsters

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well. This is Robert Marsters, your newly installed State Master Councilor. I am honored to be elected to serve you for the next year. Please remember that I work for you. If anyone ever needs anything, I am a phone call or email away.
This year I will be publishing periodical updates on different happenings of the Virginia State Association and all that it encompasses. This is the first one of those updates. If you would like to have your chapter’s events or articles be published on the Virginia DeMolay website, please contact our State Scribe or me. Our contact information can be found on the state staff button. The more content we get, the better the website will be. Please also send pictures!
This past year has been very successful. Although we did not grow in members, we took many steps forward in building DeMolay in Virginia and setting the foundation for growth. Brother Shuey deserves a tremendous amount of recognition for this, but he alone was not the reason we took these steps forward. Without the support and dedication from every member this past year, we would not have been as successful as we were. We were successful, but we can be better. We need to prove to the world why Virginia DeMolay is the best jurisdiction.
I have three goals for the next year for DeMolay in Virginia. The first is to work hard and push each other. Brotherly competition breeds improvement and leads to greater inter-chapter participation. The second goal is to improve the ritual quality in Virginia. Ritual is not the most fun part of DeMolay; however it is what sets us apart from other organizations and teaches us the vital lessons necessary for success in the future. The third goal is to have lots and lots of fun. We are all here to have fun, and I know we will. However, we all must remember that there is time for tomfoolery and shenanigans and there is a time for seriousness. It is important that we are scrupulously consonant with the dignity, the solemnity, and the sanctity of our duties. Now let's get to it!
